On Monday October 27th, Dependable Highway Express’ ownership and senior executives broke ground for the start of construction for their new Ontario, CA facility, which is the first terminal of this size to be built in Southern California since 2001. This state of the art 80 door cross-dock facility will be replacing the current Ontario terminal which they have outgrown and have been looking for a suitable location which would enable them to stay within the City of Ontario.
Ron Massman, CEO, stated “We are excited to bring this new facility online which will allow us to continue to service all of the Inland Empire as well as portions of the LA Basin and Orange County. This new facility will allow us to support our continued growth, both in our less than truckload and truckload divisions.” Dependable Highway Express services the LTL markets in California, Arizona and Nevada from a network of 13 terminals, while also having a direct partnership with Ward Trucking in the New England States to enable coast to coast service.
Dependable Highway Express operates a regional LTL, TL and Harbor Drayage operations, and is part of The Dependable Companies consisting of DHE, DDC, DHX, DLS and DGX based in Southern California. This new facility is anticipated to be completed by the beginning of the second quarter.
