Chicago court reporting firm raising awareness about gratitude

The NALS National Conference will be held during the first week of October and Depo International's DeAnne Brooks will be speaking at the event. The National Association for Legal Professionals is hosting their conference in Norfolk, Virginia for the 66th time between October 4th and 7th.

Depo International is a leading court reporting firm with offices throughout the United States assisting attorneys with comprehensive and accurate court reporting services.

Depo International has made a commitment over the past 40 years to provide high quality customer service to their clientele and expand as technology improves and makes deposition management easier.

Depo International is proud to be on the cutting edge of advanced technology that accurately and quickly captures events as they happen in depositions. Depo International is also committed to remaining involved in the community and networking with other attorneys to help those lawyers manage their firms more effectively.

One such community outreach effort managed by Depo International is their creating a culture of gratitude in the workplace CLE program. Their widely applauded presentation highlights how easy it is to make the workplace a better location for all and a more enjoyable business for lawyers. Previously presented to law firms throughout Minnesota and Women in eDiscovery, the program focuses on small actions that can make a big difference at work, leading to benefits for employees and clients through a workplace culture based on appreciation.

The concept of gratitude as referenced in the presentation is based on research from professors at the University of Miami and the University of California at Davis. One group of study participants kept a journal each day of what they were grateful for and the other group kept track of frustrations in a daily journal. The gratitude group was 25 percent happier than the other group at the conclusion of the study, and they also had fewer health issues, were more interested in helping others, and got in more exercise time.

Depo International is well-known around their offices in Minneapolis, Las Vegas, and Chicago for their realtime court reporting background. In addition to working with experienced court reporters, the company also provides assistance with remote depositions, legal videography, trial consulting, and exhibit solutions.
