In contrast, conventional molding techniques would cost MIBA about ten thousand dollars for the mold and one month per iteration. Thus, MIBA benefits greatly from the rapid copying technology from 3D Fabrication Technologies to achieve both cost and time savings during new product development."

After arriving at significant design milestones, MIBA Medical uses patent workflow solutions from PowerPatent Inc. to enable Sonar Medical to file quickly and benefit from the first-inventor-to-file provision of the American Invents Act (AIA) through the provisional and utility patent application process.
