Japanese Sweets Company Desu Box Launches Kickstarter Campaign
Cannock, Staffordshire (PRWEB UK) 13 July 2015 -- Japanese snacks have a cult following that spans the globe. People all over the world enjoy weird and wonderful sweets from Japan but often have a difficult time tracking them down. An obsession for those in the know and a new and exciting experience for those who have yet to discover them, they take the adventurous on a completely unique tasting adventure.
No one knows this better than Desu Box, a new company that is being set up to send monthly boxes of delicious, fun and exciting Japanese chocolates, sweets, snacks and thirst-quenching drinks. Today, Desu Box launched their highly-anticipated Kickstarter campaign to help the business come to market. Their following of almost 3,000 supporters couldn't be more excited.
“We're passionate about Japanese sweets here at Desu Box and we want to share that passion with the world,” commented James Kinsella, co-director of Desu Box. “We’re not just starting this subscription box, but we’re also the fans that just can’t wait to receive the first box. It's going to be the start of a really amazing community.”
According to the company’s Kickstarter project, two box sizes are available and every monthly box will be a fun mix of different snacks, sweets and chocolates, with a drink included in the larger box.
The company are charging a minimal price tag to ensure their fans get the very best value: “We don’t want to over-charge for our boxes – it’s just not what we’re about at all. Going into the future, we plan to put more snacks into our boxes as our costs decrease, making sure that everyone gets more weird Japanese sweets for cheaper than anywhere else.”
As the first company in the UK to venture into a Japanese snack box, Desu Box have built a substantial following since the start of April this year in preparation for today’s launch, with continuous efforts to ensure they understand their customers. “We’ve invited our supporters to email us, held a question-based competition and surveyed our newsletter subscribers, gaining over 1,100 valuable responses in total. Alongside everything on social media, the support has been just amazing to say the least.”
The company is very confident of their new venture and has very high hopes for the future. Desu Box’s mission is to add more to their boxes as their costs decrease, which is a driving force behind the launch of the company on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.
