The Derrin Doty Group Sponsors Charity Drive to Support Local Father and Husband Battling Diabetic Kidney Failure
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) November 17, 2015 -- The Derrin Doty Group, a local insurance firm that provides coverage for hundreds of businesses and families in the Seattle area, is launching a charity drive to raise funds for Billie Segerman, a husband and father of two who requires a kidney and pancreas transplant due to severe diabetic complications.
Segerman, a teacher and coach at a nearby school, is facing an increasingly dire situation. Throughout his life, Segerman coped with his diabetes, but a sudden episode sent him to the hospital, and doctors now report that Segerman’s kidneys are operating at less than 20%. Segerman is suffering dizzy spells and faintness as his body loses the ability to manage blood sugar levels. A transplant is now his only option.
