Fareham, Hampshire (PRWEB UK) 27 March 2014 -- Rising demand has prompted ROLEC to add four new larger sizes to its bestselling aluCASE range of metal electronics enclosures.
There are now 27 sizes of aluCASE diecast enclosures available, ranging from 75 x 50 x 33 mm to 430 x 300 x 120 mm.
The four new larger sizes are:
• 280 x 250 x 120 mm
• 380 x 250 x 120 mm
• 330 x 300 x 120 mm
• 430 x 300 x 120 mm.
A host of technical features have helped to make aluCASE ROLEC’s most popular range of advanced enclosures following their initial launch in 2004.
These robust housings are rated to IP66, IP67 and IP69K, making them tough enough to withstand the most challenging industrial environments.
The four new large sizes are rated to IP66. All other models are rated to IP67 (IP69K optional).
They are highly versatile and can be fitted to walls, machines and bulkheads – with the lid closed to help protect the seal and the electronics inside. The screws are protected and concealed by clip-on covers (polyoxymethylene POM or anodised aluminium).
For installation and servicing, the lid is held in place by polypropylene retaining straps, removing the need for hinges – although they are available as an option if required. The optional integrated hinges have no visible fixing screws.
Specifying retaining straps or the optional hinges ensures that the lid is not lost during installation in difficult working environments such as offshore or at height.
The lid also features a wide recessed area to enable accurate location of large membrane keypads or product labels.
A key lock is available as a security option. Transparent lids manufactured from weather resistant polycarbonate resin (Iupilon S-3000U) can be specified on two models in the range.
Features of ROLEC aluCASE:
• Very wide range of modern aluminium cases for industrial electronics equipment, 27 sizes
• High quality die castings – EN AC- 44300 DIN EN 1706 (GD AL Si 12/DIN 1725), 1° die casting draft for cast ejection
• Enclosure can be installed after closing, clip-on lid cover trims hide the fixing screws
• Go anywhere installation – walls, bulkheads, machines
• Integrated recess for membrane keypads or product labels
• Two models with transparent lid
• Integrated lid retaining straps available for all but the five smallest sizes

ROLEC electronic housings are marketed in the UK by OKW Enclosures Ltd of Fareham, Hampshire.
OKW Sales and Marketing Director Robert Cox said: “Adding four new sizes to ROLEC’s bestselling aluCASE range will make it even more popular."
“This range is so successful because so many features that would usually be optional come as standard on aluCASE."
“That either removes the need for customisation or makes it much more cost effective,” he added.
Family-owned ROLEC has at least three decades of experience in the design and manufacture of industrial housings for electronics and electrical equipment.
