In 3 easy steps, the Suffield Chamber of Commerce is able to display events on the screen. “We first upload or add the URL for the CSV, XML or JSON file with the event listings, select a theme and voila! The event is displayed on the screen!” added Andrew. “We can also source events from Google Calendar! All we need to do is make the calendar public and have the ID handy.”
AMP Tech Consulting’s proximity to the airport also has them installing digital information boards and leveraging the airline flight status display boards to display live flight information such as airlines, arrivals, departures, flight number, flight status, flight time, and the gate. These screens in surrounding businesses such as car valets and hotels are very convenient and enhance the customer experience by keeping them aware of when their flights are arriving, departing and where they need to be. “They also create new revenue opportunities for the businesses when they sell ad space and promote other airport or hotel services,“ said Andrew.
The Suffield Chamber of Commerce digital signage project launched in November 2013.
