WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif., May 31, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The 36th Annual Law Day 5K takes place on Saturday, June 22, at Ventura Community Park, 901 S. Kimball Road, Ventura, CA. "Our firm has always worked hard to support pro bono and low-cost legal services. This is just one more fantastic way for us to help that cause," said attorney J. Marc Dion, founder of the Dion Law Group.
Proceeds from the Law Day 5K benefit the Ventura County Bar Association (VCBA) and the non-profit Ventura County Legal Aid, Inc. (VCLA), which has been recognized statewide for its pro bono legal services to indigent clients. VCLA also provides legal services to victims of abuse and trauma.
The course is flat and fast and there are 12 age categories, of which the first place winner in each category receives a $10 gift certificate and Law Day 5K mug or comparable gift. The event also includes free food and approximately $2,000 in raffle prizes, and all runners are automatically entered in the drawing. The 5K Race begins at 8:30 a.m., followed immediately by the 1 Mile Fun Run (for kids and family). Raffle prizes will be announced right after the 1 Mile Fun Run and race awards follow immediately thereafter.
