Rountree Brady Insurance Agency Announces Update to Charity Event, Plans Rally Day to Benefit Local Girl Paralyzed in Accident
Savannah, GA (PRWEB) September 20, 2016 -- Rountree Brady Insurance Agency, a Georgia-based insurance and financial planning firm that provides coverage to business and residential clients in the greater Savannah region, is extending a charity event on behalf of Jami Basset, a young local woman who was injured in an accident and paralyzed from the waist down.
So far, the charity drive to assist Jami and her family has raised more than $8,000, thanks largely to donations from Savannah residents. The initial goal of the charity event was to raise $9,000 to pay for wheelchair accessibility in the Basset home to allow Jami to move freely, and Rountree Brady Insurance Agency is extending the charity event until this goal is reached.
“We’re planning a Rally Day this month to give our community members a chance to come out and show their support for Jami in person, and we’re going to continue sharing Jami’s story until we hit our funding goal,” says Mickey Rountree, founder and director of Rountree Brady Insurance Agency.
The Rountree Brady team has been utilizing social media and email to gather support from families, business owners, and community leaders throughout eastern Georgia during this charity event.
