Dickinson Insurance and Financial Services Announces Charity Drive to Fund an Inclusive Playground for Disabled Children
Pearcy, AR (PRWEB) August 24, 2015 -- Dickinson Insurance and Financial Services, a full service firm with offices serving areas throughout the state of Arkansas, is launching a fundraising drive to support Ali’s Angels, a charitable organization planning a new and inclusive playground in Pearcy, Arkansas.
Ali’s Angels, named after a young Arkansas girl named Ali Brionne, is an organization dedicated to raising funds to research cures for the rare infantile Batten disease. Batten claimed the life of Ali in 2014, but her mother and Ali’s Angels are working to memorialize her by building a new park in Pearcy, Arkansas. Ali’s mother recalls the difficulty her daughter had in traversing a traditional playground due to her debilitating disease, and Ali’s Angels is committed to constructing a park that can be enjoyed by all young children.
“All children deserve to enjoy public playgrounds,” says Jason Dickinson, owner and general manager of Dickinson Insurance and Financial. “This new park will bring together children of all ability levels and let them play together rather than leaving some children on the sidelines. I think it’s a wonderful idea, and we’re doing everything we can to help make it happen.”
The Dickinson team is reaching out to communities and businesses all across Arkansas in an effort to generate awareness of the needs of differently-abled children and to raise funds for the new park planned by Ali’s Angels. Efforts to find supporters across state lines are underway as well, as a new social media site promises to find like-minded people all across the country.
Ali’s Angels is only the latest of many charitable causes to benefit from the assistance of the Dickinson Insurance team. Over the last year, Dickinson and his team have mobilized to support a wide range of causes, from the Arkansas chapter of the Ronald McDonald House to the Arkansas Food Bank. Dickinson himself has pledged to continue the policy of supporting a new Arkansas charity every two months from here forward.
