Eat the Donut; Discodonut 5K Rolls Out the Good Times on National Running Day
Sacramento, California (PRWEB) June 04, 2014 -- Run, dance, shine, and Eat the Donut! Discodonut launches a national 5K run and walk on October 11, 2014 in Sacramento, California and moves across the country with future races planned for 2014 and 2015. The inaugural 5K will be held at Miller Park near Downtown Sacramento beginning at 9 am. The run benefits No Kid Hungry, a National Charity that is ending child hunger in America by ensuring all children get the healthy food they need, every day.
Adults and children are encouraged to dress up in costume for a transformative experience. There will be music along the course and race participants can expect an after party that includes disco music, donuts and dancing. “We are fitness buffs and foodies who love to have fun. The intention for Discodonut 5K was to create an exciting event that inspires creativity, encourages health and fitness and rewards with music and donuts,” said Carly Varney, Discodonut Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer.
Online registration for the Sacramento date is at discodonut.com. A percentage from each registration fee will be donated to No Kid Hungry. Registration for additional cities are available as well.
