Diveheart Partners with Sharecare to Create Award-Winning Video Feature on Scuba Therapy
Downers Grove, Illinois (PRWEB) May 03, 2019 -- Jim Elliott, founder of the nonprofit Diveheart, truly believes in the power of partnerships between companies and organizations like his. By Diveheart establishing a partnership with Sharecare, the digital health company that helps people manage all their health in one place, led to producing Sharing Care: Diveheart, a video about Diveheart’s mission, vision and the power of scuba therapy that garnered a Digital Health Award 2018 silver award.
“We were so excited to learn that a video about our mission and vision garnered such a prestigious award,” Elliott said. “The video that the Sharecare team created shows in living color, emotion and feeling what Diveheart’s mission truly is. We are all about instilling confidence, independence and self-esteem in children, veterans and others with disabilities through zero gravity, scuba therapy and related activities.”
Sharecare partnered with Diveheart to create the video as part of the collection of original content – including articles, videos, slideshows and Q&As – hosted on the Sharecare platform to educate and inspire people to live happier, healthier and more productive lives. To produce the feature, the teams traveled together to Key Largo, Florida for a three-day shoot at-sea highlighting how Diveheart works to build confidence, independence and self-esteem in children, adults and veterans of all abilities through scuba diving, scuba therapy and related activities.
“At Sharecare, we have the incredible privilege of sharing compelling, meaningful stories about people overcoming health obstacles against all odds among the myriad of the resources we provide them to help improve their health and wellbeing,” said Dawn Whaley, president of Sharecare. “By elevating Diveheart’s remarkable efforts, we hope to inspire people to seek out resources that have the potential to make a difference in their everyday lives.”
This particular partnership proves that when companies and nonprofits come together and are a right fit, the possibilities are endless.
“Connecting with Sharecare was a great opportunity to augment the company’s educational video series and, in turn, a way to share our message with other audiences and promote our relationship with them,” Elliott said.
