CDC Certified Divorce Coach® Announces Next Divorce Coach Training and Certification Course Starting Jan. 13, 2014 Now With Two Alternative Class Schedules
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) November 01, 2013 -- The CDC Certified Divorce Coach® program announces the next Divorce Coach Training and Certification class dates starting Monday, January 13 and held via teleseminar/webinar. Classes are now scheduled on Mondays and Thursdays from 12 – 2 pm ET or from 7 – 9 pm ET and run though May 1.
The training program is designed for family lawyers, family mediators, financial professionals, psychotherapists, and other professionals so as to expand their services to serve a broader range of divorce needs. The participation of this cross section of divorce professionals enriches the program for everyone and provides a cross fertilization of knowledge and philosophies that may contribute to changing the face of divorce.
David Barry, a family attorney and mediator shares his perspective on the value of the CDC Certified Divorce Coach® program: “I now have more tools in my toolbox and can help clients in a wider range of circumstances.” JoAnne Donner, Certified Family Mediator and CDFA and also a recent graduate shares her thoughts: “Through coaching, divorcing individuals have more options for receiving the support and guidance they need to effectively navigate the many challenges inherent in the divorce process.”
The American Bar Association identifies Divorce Coaching as one of the processes in alternative dispute resolution. And Bruce Teall, LCSW-R, CDC®, a mental health professional for the past 20 years, describes divorce coaching this way: “I didn’t know of any kind of professional that could walk you through divorce by connecting you with a lawyer or financial planner, assisting you to think clearly, or just help you to get through the business of divorce. I immediately recognized divorce coaching as the missing piece.”
The CDC Certified Divorce Coach® training helps participants to engage clients more effectively in two distinct areas in addition to the business of divorce: the internal work of taking on a new perspective, developing better communication, and being a more credible client in the process; and in helping them to be better decision makers and focusing on the things that are most important for them in the long term. The diversity of experience represented in the program, from both professionals who teach segments of the program and the individuals who participate, provides a rich discussion as various divorce scenarios are explored through coaching in class.
For a sample of some of the material covered in the CDC Certified Divorce Coach® program, there are two free webinars currently scheduled: Monday, November 18th and Monday, Dec. 2, both scheduled from 12 – 1:15 pm ET and covering one of the Five Biggest Mistakes in Divorce.
