Houston, TX (PRWEB) November 06, 2013 -- DMV.us.org is launching a new safe driving course to help their customers learn new ways to protect themselves on the road, the company said yesterday.
“We all learn the basics of driving before we get our license,” a DMV.us.org spokesman said. “But often that's when the education stops. We want to help people continue to learn how to become better and safer drivers down the line. Too many lives are lost every year that could have been avoided if people knew just a little bit more about how to drive safely.”
The course was put together with the help of professional drivers and members of the law enforcement community, he said.
“It's a step-by-step course that starts off by going through a refresher course on driving basics,” the DMV.us.org spokesman said. “Then it gradually moves on to more advanced material. It's designed so that it can be helpful to you if you are a new driver or if you've been on the road for 40 years.”
The information includes tips on how to avoid road rage, when to never be behind the wheel, how to deal with driving in different weather conditions and defensive driving among other topics, he said.
“We were actually amazed at how much useful information we were able to put into the course,” the DMV.us.org spokesman said. “It really goes over everything.”
The course will be available free of charge on the members' section of the DMV.us.org website, he said.
