Beginning September 1, DOLE® Soft Serve will partner with Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® campaign. Orange Leaf’s fundraising campaign will run through September 28, 2014 and DOLE Soft Serve plans to donate $10,000 to the cause.
As part of this year’s fundraiser, Orange Leaf is again selling a limited edition No Kid Hungry plastic cup for a $1 with 100% of proceeds benefiting No Kid Hungry. Customers can fill their cup with an Orange Strawberry Banana smoothie made with Orange DOLE Soft Serve. During the week of September 8 – 12, 2014, DOLE Soft Serve has committed to donate $1 for every LTO (Limited Time Offer) cup sold up to $5000. On September 20, DOLE Soft Serve will donate $1 for every retweet from Orange Leaf’s Twitter page, @myorangeleaf, up to $5000 using hashtag #enditwithorange with a maximum donation of $10,000. “This is the first time that we have done such a partnership and we look forward to giving back to such a reputable philanthropy as Share our Strength. We encourage our fans to research this cause and consider making a donation online or by visiting an Orange Leaf and purchasing the limited edition cup,” said Jamie Schwartz, product marketing manager for DOLE Soft Serve.
Currently, Orange Leaf offers two DOLE Soft Serve flavors in their flavor rotations, Pineapple and Orange, and uses these two flavors to make their new self-serve fruit smoothies. The flavors are free from fat, lactose, dairy, cholesterol and gluten. DOLE Soft Serve fruit flavors are classified vegan.
