This world is filled with different types of people, situated in various places, with different cultures and with varying perceptions. As a simple woman from a small town, author Dolores Knowles shares the way she perceives family, nature and the everyday things that consists this little thing called life. “Musings” is a countrywoman’s personal account of her view of this world.
A newspaper writer for three years, Knowles is used to sharing her ideas to readers. Writing mainly for others, Knowles has decided that it is time to write for her children. This time, she pens this book to mirror her views and simple philosophies in life — all to be left for her kin. Knowles’ essays reflect the life of simplicity and away from the hustle-bustle of the city. Her book tells of the contrast of the life in a large city and the life in the countryside.
As a content soul, Knowles seeks to inspire readers to stop by and reflect upon the simple things in life. Through her accounts, she also takes readers to a journey in the past where life is much less complicated and more peaceful. Providing an escape, this memoir offers the exact opposite of what most readers see and hear from the news such as crimes and conflicts all around the world; giving readers a breather with entries about family, nature, and love.
A collection of quiet gems that Knowles seeks to give each reader, her “Musings” is a combination of sweet and bitter memories that make each person’s life worthy to live.
