WADDY, Ky. (PRWEB) August 26, 2014 -- After battling breast cancer twice, author Donna Tarrant knows that life isn’t over until one gives up hope. With a little faith, she says those with cancer and other terminal illnesses can find the strength to carry on through Jesus Christ.
Tarrant releases her new book, “Living while Dying: With Irrational Joy” (published by WestBow Press), to spread a message of hope and a renewed appreciation for life to all those confronting breast cancer, just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
When Tarrant was first diagnosed in 2002, she thought she had all the answers. After a night of research, she insisted on having a mastectomy and tram flap reconstruction all in the same procedure, but even as she made these plans, she believes God stepped in to show her that she was not in control. He had a plan for her, she says.
From then on, Tarrant handed control of her life over to Jesus. As she went through surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation, Tarrant felt at peace and determined to live her life to the absolute fullest no matter how much of it was left.
“Make event moment count,” Tarrant asserts. “The book shows how to live an irrationally happy life, for however long is left. It shows how God is with us throughout our life, even when we have rejected Him. He continues to be beside us waiting for us to make a decision.
