Pacific Office Automation Receives Portland Business Journal's 2013 Corporate Philanthropy Award
Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) September 03, 2013 -- Pacific Office Automation is no stranger to awards having won multiple awards from both civic and business groups since their inception in 1976. This award speaks volumes to president Doug Pitassi. Pitassi says, "Many of the awards we receive are based on our business merit and accomplishments. This award is totally different as it's based on philanthropy. Our company is very proud of this award but even more proud that we have been able to help others. Helping others has been something our company has been involved in since our inception. Many of our employees volunteer, make donations of time and energy and as a corporation, we're excited to be involved as well."
Pacific Office Automation doesn't know how high on the top 10 list they'll finish, but that doesn't matter according to Doug Pitassi. "I don't care if we're number one or number ten. We're happy to help people in need, and recently changed our company mission statement to reflect that desire. This isn't an individual effort, this is a city-wide effort that we can all be involved in," says Doug Pitassi.
Companies nominated for awards include Bank of America, Cambia Health Solutions, Intel Corporation, Kaiser Permanente, Nike Inc., Pacific Office Automation, Pacific Power/Pacific Power Foundation, Portland General Electric/PGE Foundation, U.S. Bank, and Wells Fargo.
