Significant disruption to and in some cases the outright dismantling of long-standing approaches to medical delivery is forcing healthcare professionals at all levels to seek alternative methods to assess and provide care.
Greenville, SC (PRWEB) June 09, 2015
Dr. Robert G. Schwartz, president of the American Academy of Thermology (AAT) and principal of Greenville, SC-based Piedmont Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, P.A., will be a featured presenter at the “Creative Technologies for Persons with Disabilities: The Future is Now” symposium, which will take place at the United Nations in New York City on June 11, 2015.
During his presentation entitled “The Role of Medical Thermal Imaging in Non-Communicable Disease,” Dr. Schwartz will highlight research, experiences and insights gleaned from his more than three decades of medical practice, along with his instrumental role in crafting the American Academy of Thermology’s Guidelines for Neuromusculoskeletal Thermal Imaging, Breast Thermal Imaging, Medicine Thermal Imaging, and Oral-Systemic Thermal Imaging, respectively.
“Significant disruption to and in some cases the outright dismantling of long-standing approaches to medical delivery is forcing healthcare professionals at all levels to seek alternative methods to assess and provide care,” commented Dr. Schwartz. “Together with many of my peers, I believe that that medical thermal imaging can be part of the solution, and my presentation at the symposium will focus on increasing awareness and, especially, separating known facts from myths and misunderstandings regarding medical thermography that exist both within and outside the healthcare community.”
The Creative Technologies for Persons with Disabilities: The Future is Now symposium is organized by the International Council for Caring Communities, which is a not-for-profit organization that has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations. Dr. Schwartz’s presentation is part of the Conference of States Parties and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, Eighth Session, which will take place from June 9-11.
