About the Author
Dr. Joseph H. G. Wint was born in May Pen, Jamaica. A graduate of the Kingston Technical High School, he received his bachelor’s degree in English at The Kings College, his master’s degree in English at New York University and his doctorate degree in education at Hofstra University. Of greatest importance to Wint is his spiritual journey. It was during the time when he was engaged in the establishment of Emmanuel Gospel Chapel in Mount Salem that he met his wife, Joye Buchanan. As of December 2015, they have been married for 50 years. They have two daughters, two sons-in-laws and five grandchildren.
