Dr. Steve Hart Named Chairman of the Board for Seafood Nutrition Partnership
ARLINGTON, Va. (PRWEB) November 14, 2018 -- Dr. Steve Hart, Vice President of Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA), has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors for Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP), serving in 2019 and 2020.
Dr. Hart brings a wealth of aquaculture nutrition expertise to SNP’s mission of inspiring a smarter and healthier America through partnerships and raising awareness about the health benefits of eating seafood twice per week, as recommended by the USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
“It really means a lot to me to be appointed as SNP board chairman, as seafood nutrition is near and dear to my heart. It’s an honor,” said Hart. “I look forward to doing my part to help SNP carry out its mission of inspiring a healthier America through seafood nutrition.
Hart, who joined GAA in June 2015, is leading GAA’s market development efforts in Asia as well as working on various emerging issues affecting aquaculture and its stakeholders. Previously, he was executive director for the Soy Aquaculture Alliance and director of aquaculture at the Indiana Soybean Alliance.
