Dr. Victor Wahby & Medical Musical Group Heal Vets With Song On Kleyne Talk Radio
Egyptian Immigrant Wahby Promotes Global Health with Concerts by Medical Musical Group. Doctor/Musician Leader Wahby Visits Sharon Kleyne on Kleyne Talk Radio.
GRANTS PASS, Ore., July 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Guest: Dr. Victor Wahby vswahby(at)aol(dot)com, founder of Medical Musical Group, Washington, D.C.
Dr. Victor Wahby, who came to the U.S. from Egypt as a medical student in 1976, combines his lifelong love of music and medicine to tour the world in support of better health and benefits for American veterans. Dr. Wahby's chorale group and orchestra, Medical Musical Group, has staged concerts in some if the most prominent venues in the world including the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, the UN in Geneva, and the White House. Dr. Wahby's group has visited dozens of countries including France, Spain, Poland, China, Japan and many others to celebrate the contributions of American veterans to the U.S. and other countries.
Sharon Kleyne, host of the nationally syndicated radio program, The Sharon Kleyne Hour Water Life Science®/Nature's Pharma®, The Power of Water® & Your Health sponsored by Nature's Tears® EyeMist® and Nature's Mist® Face of the Water® on VoiceAmerica, also believes in the healing power of music. "I learned that in the womb," says Kleyne, "the brain and eyes connect at the same moment. Why is that? Because it's nature's method. It's the love of the rhythm. Everything goes with that rhythm. So," Kleyne continues, "when I look at anxiety, an emotional person, I always try to be fair because I know there is something going on there that they don't even understand. I learned that our American warriors are unique on the planet. They go into other countries at their own expense mentally to help others. They leave their homes, leave their lives as volunteers knowing that they might not come back."
"The brain is an amazing instrument," Wahby concurs. "It's the crown jewel of creation."
"Crown jewel. I like that!" added Kleyne.
"Since the 1960s," Wahby continues, "we've known that the brain is also a big hormonal gland. It secretes hormones. Hormones are small chemicals that secrete into the bloodstream directly via the endocrine glands." This fascination with the brain and hormones began early for Wahby when he worked at the Mayo Clinic, then at Yale University. Afterwards, he also worked at the Veterans Administration in mass communications where he worked on fitness, nutrition, suicide prevention, addiction and depression. In addition to his medical training, Wahby also studied conducting with Joseph El-Sissi, the Vienna-trained conductor of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Wahby and Medical Musical Group's upcoming concert to commemorate the veterans of D-Day, Thanks for the Memories, will take place in Alexandria, Virginia on August 11th at 4 p.m. and will feature the daughter of Dean Martin, vocalist Deanna Martin. Additional information can be found at http://www.medicalmusical.org. The program will include 25 songs illustrating a theme in the spirit of the Greek God, Janus, whose two faces look backwards and forwards through time. Songs will include perennial favorites such as The Longest Day, Climb Every Mountain, Higher and Higher and work by Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Bob Hope and others. "I was so moved," says Wahby, "when I attended D-Day services in France just last month and saw the surviving veterans there."
"It's so sad today to see the students and young people who aren't as patriotic," muses Kleyne.
"God bless America!" concludes Wahby.
