Jesus’s teaching against misuse of power, hierarchy and for inclusiveness is needed more than ever to create true community cohesion.

Some people believe that religion is the root of all evil. “The Jesus Project: Understanding the true nature of God” (published by WestBow Press) challenges this claim. Author Dr. Arno Steen Andreasen reflects on the teachings of Jesus in chronological order to reveal to readers the Lord’s true nature, and discusses the ways in which readers can learn from his teachings.

Andreasen aims to show that Jesus rules the world through personal sacrifice and humility. “Jesus is not the instigator of any war, except the spiritual war against misuse of power—no matter if that is done in the name of the church or society,” Andreasen explains.

The book is designed to be studied and discussed. The reflections are written to challenge what readers believe about God, the way they live and to help them put their faith into action. The book also stresses the importance of repairing society, which Andreasen describes as being fragmented and corrupted by the abuse of power.

“The establishment or the elite is having enormous power in society as well as in church today,” says Andreasen. “Jesus’s teaching against misuse of power, hierarchy and for inclusiveness is needed more than ever to create true community cohesion.”
