With its small, highly qualified staff, West Brook Recovery Center is uniquely positioned among rehab centers to offer patients individualized treatment so they can achieve recovery and stay on that healthy path.

West Brook Recovery Center now has three American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM) certified addiction specialists on its staff. Dr. Bruce Baker, M.D., Medical Director of West Brook Recovery Center, has just passed his 10-year ABAM recertification. Dr. Donald G. Weston III, M.D. and Dr. Julie Wilson, D.O., recently received their initial ABAM certification; all three physicians are Certified Medical Review Officers.

ABAM is the nation's first medical specialty board that certifies medical doctors across a range of medical specialties. Board-certified addiction specialists bring an added level of excellence to the staff at West Brook Recovery Center. They have the knowledge, experience and skills to alleviate drug use and addiction, including alcohol, tobacco and other addicting drugs.

"West Brook Recovery Center is proud of the addiction medicine treatment it can now offer as a result of having these three board-certified specialists on its staff," said Scott Swinburne, West Brook Recovery Center Program Director. "With its small, highly qualified staff, West Brook is uniquely positioned among rehab centers to offer patients individualized treatment so they can achieve recovery and stay on that healthy path."

Unlike some rehab centers, West Brook is not a hospital setting. Patients receive treatment in an inpatient residential program, living in apartments in the community while participating in their individually tailored treatment plans throughout the day.
