More on the Center's Sponsorship of the Canoe Trip
Each summer, Canadians take to the woods to experience nature. One of the more popular ways to experience nature and nurture one's spirituality is the canoe trip. Sunshine Coast sponsored a canoe for Devin Pielle on this summer's trip, who stated:
"This years tribal journey ended at Willingdon beach on July 19th 2015. Along the way, we joined with 5 other canoes. Some days we started our pull at 5am to ride with the tide. The teachings, the discipline, the endurance, the celebration and being part of the bigger picture is something I will never forget…. This journey would not have been possible without the generosity of the Sunshine Coast Health Center, and I forever grateful. I raise my hands to all who made this possible for my canoe family."
