Fort Lauderdale Insurance Services Teams Up with MADD in Southern Florida Charity Event to End Drunk Driving
Fort Lauderdale, FL (PRWEB) April 08, 2016 -- Fort Lauderdale Insurance Group, a Florida-based insurance firm that provides service to residents of Broward County and other nearby communities, is announcing a joint charity effort with non-profit Mothers Against Drunk Driving in an effort to reduce the number of drunk driving incidents across the state.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving is the largest non-profit in the nation that consistently works to protect families and communities from intoxicated motorists. MADD also offers support to the victims of drunk or intoxicated vehicle accidents with a 24-Hour victim helpline at 1-877-MADD-HELP. The Walk Like MADD charity event sponsored by Fort Lauderdale Insurance aims to provide mission critical funds to future MADD efforts in Florida.
“Drunk driving is one of the few tragedies our society faces that is 100% preventable, and the huge amount of work MADD does to prevent drunk driving is truly remarkable,” explains Mike Burke, owner and director of Fort Lauderdale Insurance Group.
Working in concert with his professional staff, Burke and the Fort Lauderdale Insurance team are creating an online social media presence and sending out an email update to local community leaders in an effort to raise awareness of the Walk Like MADD charity event.
