Dumbbell2.com's Fitness Challenge Participants See Dramatic Results Reports RConcepts
Atlanta, Ga. (PRWEB) September 02, 2014 -- RConcepts Inc., the inventor of the world’s first two-handed dumbbell, announced today that the participants of the Dumbbell2 Summer Fitness Challenge 2014 are already seeing positive results. Participants are reporting weight loss, increased muscle mass and tone, and more energy. Another common theme from the challenge participants is that the workouts are fun and effective due to the unique shape of the Dumbbell2 (DB2), the next-generation dumbbell.
DB2 is ideal for people of all ages and ability who want to achieve a higher level of fitness more quickly and efficiently using functional movements to strengthen and tone muscles. More versatile and effective than the traditional dumbbell, DB2’s innovative center weight enables never before seen advancements in total body muscle engagement. In addition, using the DB2 with one hand provides “end loaded” functionality that isolates specific muscles for more precision targeting.
In July Dumbbell2.com announced their 2014 Summer Fitness Challenge. Winners were selected based on fitness levels, degree of motivation, and willingness to work virtually one-on-one with a certified master personal trainer. Dumbbell2.com sent the five winners a set of DB2 weights along with an individualized training program. The participants are now starting their fourth week of training with DB2, and the results are extremely positive.
• Lose Weight, Gain Muscle, Increase Fitness
One of the participants, Chace Frazier of Jacksonville, Florida, explained that since graduating from high school, the pressures of school, work and family have taken a toll on his overall health and fitness level. “I married into an extremely fit family. My father-in-law played professional football for several teams, and my mother-in-law is the most physically fit mom I’ve ever met. And that’s just describing my in-laws over 40 – the younger ones are all in incredible shape,” continued Frazier. “During family gatherings, I’d like to feel better about my level of fitness.”
Frazier’s goal is to lose weight and gain muscle. So far he’s made great strides. In just the first three weeks, he’s lost 12 pounds and at least 2 inches around his waist. “I’m eating better and working muscles I never knew I had. I feel great; I’m sleeping better and have lots more energy,” concluded Frazier.
• Stop Roller Coaster Weight Gain/Loss
Another participant, Denise Garcia of Miami, Florida, wants to get healthy and fit to feel better and be a role model for her kids. In the past year she says that she has been on a roller coaster in terms of her weight. “Prior to DB2, I lost 10-15 pounds and then put it right back on again; it’s been a constant struggle.”
Garcia’s goal is to be lean and healthy without the constant fluctuations in weight she has seen in the past. “I love working out with the Dumbbell2. Because of the two-handled grip, the workouts are really unique and lots of fun—so different than what I’ve done with old-fashioned dumbbells,” explained Garcia. “The DB2 is definitely the next-generation dumbbell!”
Blake Wells, DB2 instructor and master personal trainer based in Jacksonville, Florida, designed the Fitness Challenge exercises. A former competitive bodybuilder, Wells knows the most effective ways to build muscle and sculpt bodies. He gave up professional bodybuilding in 2005 and now uses his knowledge and expertise to help others achieve the body they desire.
“Each participant has a different story – a different reason for entering the challenge. But everyone has the same basic goals: get healthier, leaner, and stronger,” explained Wells. “It’s exciting to work with Chace, Denise and the other participants and encourage them to change their lives by improving their fitness.”

How DB2 Works
The innovative shape allows the body to exercise using natural movements, resulting in a person achieving positive results faster. Results can be seen in as little as 5 minutes per day, although most people prefer to use DB2 for 15-20 minutes, 3 to 5 times per week.
Individuals are also using the DB2 with one arm because the unbalanced or “end loaded” weight (when gripped with a single hand) isolates specific muscles or parts of muscles, allowing for more effective muscle targeting. Hand positions can also be modified to achieve a variety of leverage points.
Proof DB2 Works
Electromyography (EMG) testing showed approximately 35-50% increased muscle recruitment with 50% less weight using the DB2 compared to a traditional dumbbell. EMG is a technique used for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles.
