RConcepts Announces Dumbbell2 Summer Fitness Challenge
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 08, 2014 -- RConcepts Inc., the inventor of the world’s first two-handed dumbbell, announced today the beginning of the 2014 Dumbbell2 (DB2) Summer Fitness Challenge. Dumbbell2.com will give away a complete set of four DB2 weights and an individualized training program to five individuals nationwide. Winners will be selected by Dumbbell2.com based on applications received.
DB2 is ideal for people of all ages and ability who want to achieve a higher level of fitness more quickly and efficiently using functional movements to strengthen and tone muscles. More versatile and effective than the traditional dumbbell, DB2’s innovative design provides increased workout efficiency in an updated and streamlined shape.
Five individuals will be selected nationwide to participate in the DB2 Summer Fitness Challenge. In addition to a free set of DB2s, the challenge will include four workouts per week, nutrition coaching, virtual individual coaching and group meetings. Email and text communications between the participant and trainer is highly encouraged to help keep participants motivated and on track. To accurately track results, body mass index (BMI), body weight and measurements will be administered by a third party, licensed facility before and after the challenge.
People interested in being considered for the DB2 Summer Fitness Challenge should apply by visiting http://www.dumbbell2.com/db2-summer-fitness-challenge/ and completing the application. Winners will be selected based on current fitness levels, degree of motivation (as determined by DB2), and willingness to work virtually one-on-one with a certified master personal trainer to meet their fitness goals. Participants must be at least 18 years of age.
Deadline for applying is July 18. The challenge will begin on July 25 and end 60 days later on September 22, the last official day of summer.
“I’m excited to be leading this challenge – giving people the opportunity to meet their fitness goals with the help of a great product, sound workouts, a healthy diet and individual coaching,” explained Blake Wells, DB2 instructor and master personal trainer based in Jacksonville, Florida. “I encourage anyone to apply. If you are selected, we’ll work together to get you in the best shape of your life!”
DB2 workouts designed by Wells can be found on the company’s website at http://www.dumbbell2.com/interval-training-workouts/. To see the full line of available DB2 weights, materials, and colors, please visit http://www.dumbbell2.com.
How DB2 Works
The innovative shape allows the body to exercise using natural movements, resulting in a person achieving positive results faster. Results can be seen in as little as 5 minutes per day, although most people prefer to use DB2 for 15-20 minutes, 3 to 5 times per week.
Individuals are also using the DB2 with one arm because the unbalanced weight (when gripped with a single hand) isolates specific muscles or parts of muscles, allowing for more effective muscle targeting. Hand positions can also be modified to achieve a variety of leverage points.
Proof DB2 Works
Electromyography (EMG) testing showed approximately 35-50% increased muscle recruitment with 50% less weight using the DB2 compared to a traditional dumbbell. EMG is a technique used for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles.
