DuPont™ Corian® Charging Surface Effortlessly Enables a Wireless World
WILMINGTON, Del. (PRWEB) October 11, 2017 -- Since its introduction in 2015, the DuPont™ Corian® Charging Surface has been powering up smart devices in hotels, restaurants and homes around the world. Now, with the introduction of the Qi compatible iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8S models, Corian® Charging Surface offers a convenient, stylish and inconspicuous alternative to standard cords and wires that is more effortless than ever. Thanks to the built-in Qi receivers in iPhone 8 models, an external receiver such as a charging ring is no longer required. The new models can be charged by placing them directly onto the charging spot on the Corian® Charging Surface.
While wireless charging is a new concept for some, DuPont Protection Solutions (DuPont) has been an early adopter in this technology. The “dual mode” Corian® Charging Surface is a forward compatible device and is cleverly designed to work with both the Qi and PMA wireless charging standard. The device is installed just underneath the surface of any Corian® solid surface or quartz product from Corian® Design by a certified fabricator. The transmitter is specifically engineered to transmit through Corian® Design surfaces with magnetic induction, which safely and effectively transfers power from the charger to a smart device.
