WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., June 29, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dynamite new mystery thriller, A Murder on Jane Street, from New York Times and international bestselling author Cathy Cash Spellman.
Why would anyone brutally murder the little old lady next door? FitzHugh Donovan, ex-NYC Police Chief, wants answers.
He doesn't know yet that the old woman was so much more than she seemed or that she'd opened Pandora's Box before she died.
Now everyone he loves is on the chopping block, the fix is in, and the crime-in-progress he's unearthed is big enough to take down the White House.
A heinous secret.
A deadly conspiracy.
An adversary who's above the law.
There isn't a chance in hell he can beat those odds.
…or is there?
Author Interview:
"Three things led me to Jane Street," says Cathy Cash Spellman with a grin: "My grandfather was a Detective Lieutenant and I idolized him in childhood. I've suspected for years that a distant relative was a spy in WWII – although I can't prove it, she left me hints in letters. I lived in Greenwich Village during its heyday and fell in love with its freedoms, its brownstones and its mysteries, to say nothing of the larger-than-life oddballs, famous, infamous and anonymous, who peopled this magical place.
"That's all it takes to get a writer's brain percolating with a tale. Once you're blessed by the bare bones of a story, your characters take you by the hand and whisk you along until their story unfolds. It's a magical process and with a wellspring of further adventures in its DNA.
"I'm hoping my readers will fall in love with the Donovan family of detectives and their remarkable oddball friends who like to call themselves The Bleecker Street Irregulars in tribute to Sherlock's gang of helpers, because I'd love to follow them all into further dangers and dilemmas as they fight for justice and for each other.
"After all," in the words of ex-Police Chief Donovan, "family matters. Especially when you're trying to keep them from being murdered."
Cathy's books are sold in 22 countries, Bless the Child was a Paramount movie and two more of her stories have been optioned for film and TV.
In her spare time she practices alternative healing and has a black belt in Goju Ryu karate so she's no stranger to adventures beyond the ordinary.
