eApps Announces the Availability of an Advanced Uptime Monitoring System With First Responder Outage Resolution Option

PEACHTREE CORNERS, Ga., Aug. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Uptime Monitoring, with one minute polling intervals, is now available to all eApps customers. Powered by NodePing, Uptime Monitoring provides more than 21 types of checks to ensure that an alert is sent almost immediately whenever a key service fails to respond. Custom checks can be added easily for a small fee.

Whenever a monitor check fails, Uptime Monitoring immediately performs verification checks from multiple world-wide locations before sending an alert. The short polling interval and immediate independent verification allows for rapid response to an outage. A managed service option, called First Responder, directs the alerts to eApps technicians for rapid resolution of outages at all times.

Customers can set up contacts and groups for notification by email, international SMS, and Slack channels. There is no fee for alerts, including international SMS. The system has Do Not Disturb controls which allows users to designate contacts and groups to receive alerts based on time of day or day of week. The system allows for the suspension of alerts for maintenance events.

Each eApps hosted Virtual Private Server or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environment receives one free uptime monitor. Additional monitors can be added at $1 per monitor per month. Enterprise level customers are allocated an unlimited number of monitors at no charge. The service can also be used for servers hosted outside of the eApps network.

For mission critical web services, the First Responder add-on is available for Uptime Monitoring. This additional managed service will direct alerts to the eApps 24x7 Support department for immediate resolution. The fee for the First Responder add-on is $5 per month.
