Bruce Graham, owner of East End Screen Printing, a Long Island screen printing company, responds to a September 25th article on the Coloradoan, which details how Colorado State University (CSU) used t-shirts to support Colorado flood relief efforts.
According to an article The Coloradoan titled “Colorado State selling T-shirts with raindrop logo to benefit flood relief efforts,” CSU designed t-shirts with a signature raindrop logo to help support relief efforts from the devastating floods that demolished parts of the state last month. The article states that proceeds from the t-shirt sales will be donated to the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and CSU Cares for flood relief.
The logo is comprised of a raindrop shape with the Colorado state flag inside of it. The article says the t-shirts were created by Kyle Stopperan—one of the University’s graphic artists from the athletic department. The CSU football team first wore the logo on its helmets during its game against Alabama and will continue wearing it for the remainder of the season.
As owner of a Long Island screen printing company, Graham says selling t-shirts are one of the best and most effective ways to support a cause or raise money. “T-shirts allow people to express themselves and show their support for a cause,” he says. “People love t-shirts and they love to represent something. These CSU shirts are creative, possess a nice logo and send a powerful message to the public. They are definitely the best way for college students, and the general public to raise money to help flood victims. Stopperan did a great job designing it and I think the proceeds generated from these t-shirts will really help people.”
