Edwin Woolsey promotes revival of American spirit with new book
WILLOW SPRINGS, Mo. (PRWEB) November 26, 2014 -- Author Edwin Woolsey challenges American readers to reexamine God’s call for spiritual revival. His new book, “If My People...God's Call for American Revival” (published by AuthorHouse), draws a comparison between ancient Israel and colonial America.
In 2 Chronicles 7:14, Scripture states, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Woolsey uses this verse as a starting point to show the Church’s obligation to be an agent of revival in modern society. As a vehicle for his spiritual message of national renewal, he parallels the Founding Fathers’ colonial America with ancient Israel and the Patriarchs. Woolsey ultimately makes the case for a return to the godly values of the men who drafted the Constitution.
“The book will appeal to readers simply because of a growing concern within our nation that America is in decline across a broad spectrum of society,” Woolsey says. “Our nation is headed down the wrong path. We need revival!”
