Rocky Mountain Fertility Center is now offering shared egg donor cycles to help provide more affordable treatment cycles. The shared cycle allows recipients to save on expenses by sharing the donor costs. For more information and to schedule a complimentary phone consult with the Egg Donation Center, call (720) 390-3931.

A shared (or split) egg donor cycle is one in which two recipients share the eggs provided by the same donor, at the same time. The Shared Egg Donor Program is offered to patients to provide a more affordable treatment cycle using donor eggs. Rocky Mountain Fertility Center is one of the few Midwest egg donor centers to offer such a program.

With a shared donor egg cycle, the two recipients save on expenses by sharing the donor costs. Many egg donors produce more eggs than a single recipient needs. As a result, many frozen embryos from egg donor cycles are never used or are discarded.

The cost of a "non-shared" egg donor cycle is high, over $30,000, making it less available to many couples who would otherwise choose egg donation as an option. The costs of egg donation continue to rise due to increase costs of donor screening as required by the FDA, and due to increasing competition for donor reimbursement from agencies.

Thankfully, most egg donors produce enough eggs to share between two recipients. The average number of eggs recovered from egg donors at RMFC is 12. Excellent pregnancy rates are achieved with only 6 eggs. This enables women and couples to pursue their goals of having children at a reduced cost at a first rate egg donor center.

The Medical Director at Rocky Mountain Fertility Center is Dr. Deborah Smith. With over 20 years experience in helping women reach their fertility goals, Dr. Smith was recently named a Top 5 Nationwide fertility doctor by HealthTap. HealthTap also has named her the Top Fertility Doctor in all of Colorado.

Currently, the Center is offering complimentary 15 minute phone consultations. Call (303) 999-3877 to schedule today for egg donation Colorado trusts.
