Ehvonnae Launches New E-Commerce Site for Clothing & Accessories

An extension of its retail shop in the Dumbo area of Brooklyn, Ehvonnae.com now offers contemporary and affordable styles for young women wanting the big city look from the convenience of their computer or phone. The site offers a mobile-friendly version and video tutorials for its roughly 800-item inventory of eye-popping prints, bright colors, and cutting-edge looks.
The site re-design was a direct response to company growth and an evolving customer demographic. What started in 2010 as an accessories-only shop for a wide range of women, quickly transformed into an influential retailer of both apparel and accessories for a younger, more modern customer. EHVonnae’s 31-year-old owner, Brittanie Yvonne, is a former model and trendsetter who learned to tailor her shop to the “EHV girl” – customers wanting fresh new looks, and often asking if they could buy the clothes off her back.

The new site, designed by Staci Brillhart of Quirky Bird Designs in collaboration with Yvonne, features sleek lines, geometric shapes, sans serif fonts, soft colors, and plenty of white space in order to let the enticing products pop and speak for itself. “Brittanie (Yvonne) is super hip and has excellent taste, so we used her personal style and supreme product line for inspiration,” said Brillhart. “She actually wanted a make under of her old site which is both rare and awesome, allowing us to design a really clean, well-organized, fresh site that today's online shoppers will love.”
Singer-songwriter and fashion icon Lana Del Rey served as the inspiration for the site’s product photography. The goal was to present a natural, easy style, where anything from $40 lace-up Keds to a $228 Ruby Star onyx necklace can look effortless and sexy. Scrolling home page images feature casual apparel, distressed denim, NCLA nail wraps, Pantone iphone cases, and colorful Keds. Each new product update to the site will feature a stylized photo shoot with a specific theme and fun facts about the stylist.
