El Cid Vacations Club Shares Information About the First Salt Sculptures in Mazatlán

In order to add to its list of unbeatable attractions, Mazatlán has decided to announce a project that is entirely unprecedented. A variety of different artists will be putting their own personal spin on art by creating something in the form of a salt sculpture. El Cid Vacations Club states that six artists have agreed to take on this extraordinary task, including Ceclia Sánchez Duarte, Manuel Alencaster, Gerardo Santamaria, Renato Gonzales, Jesús Aguilar, and Adán Navallez. Sánchez Duarte is a local sculptor, coordinator, and teacher at the Municipal Center of the Arts. Cultura de Mazatlán has donated the salt blocks that the artists will be using during the Exportadora del Sal event.
The artists have been given artistic freedom to create whatever they would like with the enormous salt block that they have been given. Aside from the six sculptures that will be donated by these artists, El Cid Vacations Club states that the general public will work together on the seventh block. This is a terrific way for people to get involved in Mazatlán’s art, history, and culture.
These magnificent sculptures were originally to be unveiled on Friday, July 4th, but due to inclement weather, the ceremony was postponed. As of now, the sculptures are yet to be revealed to the public, but this just increases the excitement and anticipation for what is to come.
