Local senior community will hold several activities during September to honor Assisted Living Month.

September is Assisted Living month. In addition to the usual festivities and the celebration of Park Creek Senior Living Community’s sixth anniversary, they are going to include special activities to honor Assisted Living Month.

Park Creek residents will be partaking in their “Homemade Happiness” drive. For the month of September, there will be a food drive. Items and cards will be collected to send to our troops overseas. Residents will also be rolling bandages for third-world countries.

These activities are a great way to get the public to understand that although people may need assistance with some daily activities, they are still very capable and excited to help others. The community-at-large is encouraged to assist with the drive by dropping off the above mentioned items to Park Creek throughout the month. Happiness is contagious, so please help spread some cheer! Park Creek Residents and staff will collect, sort and distribute.
