Author Eleanor Hammond educates beginners to advanced tarot students in her new book, “My First Tarot Course: In-Depth Training, Exercises, And Questions And Answers To Test Your Knowledge” (published by Balboa Press AU).
“It’s very difficult to teach 780 different situational meanings as each of the 78 cards are placed in different positions of a tarot card spread,” Hammond says. “This manual is designed to take people on a personal journey whereby each person attaches 10 of their own life events to each of the tarot cards.”
Hammond says that through this process, students will have a very personal memory attached to each card, which will allow them to conduct their own readings with ease. She hopes this simplified process will ease students’ access to the higher consciousness and mystery of life through tarot.
The information Hammond passes on to readers has been part of her teaching for decades and the book is her answer to the difficulty she has had in getting to people physically to pass along her knowledge. Even so, in the decades Hammond has spent teaching tarot, she says she has given over 1,800 readings each year to people all over the world.
