Children’s Book Author Elizabeth Jobson Comes Out With the Third Installment to a Series of Colorful Storybooks About a Cunning Canine Companion in “Bentley Goes to Work”

Prolific children’s books author Elizabeth Jobson has recently published two colorful children’s picture books about an adorable cocker spaniel and his canine capers. Now, after the successful release of “Introducing Bentley” and “Bentley Goes to the Park” comes the third part of a four-part series about that delightful dog, titled Bentley Goes to Work.

This latest addition to the series is the continuing story of Bentley, a real life cocker spaniel who lives in Australia. This story is about Bentley going to work in the office that is owned and operated by his “mum” and “dad.” The said office is a real estate agency on Tamborine Mountains, a place where Bentley has his own particular jobs to do.

As the books in the series just get better and better, this particular story is even more appealing for young readers because, while Bentley is still the main character, it is rather rare to find real live dogs working in a real office. This story brilliantly blends a dog’s life and office life together, even making it a central part of the entire series to demonstrate to children the capabilities of animals and to fight off any cruelty against them.

With its intriguing new plot, real-life characters and actual photographs, Bentley Goes to Work continues the wonderful lessons taught to children in the first couple of books: the value of pets and animals. Jobson has once again made sure that her young readers would take away fun and enjoyment in this book, and hopefully excite them for the last and final installment to this memorable four-part series.

About the Author

Elizabeth Jobson had an English country childhood with numerous animals as pets. She moved to Australia in 1973. Jobson has long been interested in writing children’s books. With the advent of acquiring such a special dog as Bentley, the opportunity for a suitable subject presented itself. To be able to use actual photos rather than illustrations was a great attraction as well. Jobson has spent much of her working life as secretary to corporate Australia and had a change of direction into real estate later in life and now runs a real estate agency with her husband. Writing has been her favourite hobby for many years. It gets mothballed periodically, but when time allows, her urge to write can be taken out and dusted off.
