Elizabeth Newton Releases the Fourth Book in Train Flight Series
Northfield, Australia (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- Readers rejoice. The Train Flight series continues. Elizabeth Newton’s fourth novel in the series, “Train Flight: Furry Friends” (published by Trafford Publishing), brings the Captain, Evie and Paulo close to home for an adventure that will entertain readers until the very last page.
“I would like readers to come away changed, challenged or at least feel thought-provoked,” says Newton of her Christian themed sci-fi series. “I would also like people’s ideas and stereotypes about religion, church and what it means to be a ‘Jesus-follower’ to be challenged or for those people who didn’t have preconceived ideas about such things to have been thought-provoked as well.”
After the debacle at the sanctuary, Evie Bamford, the Earthling, begs the Captain to take her to a faraway beautiful planet. Instead, the Captain steers the time-and-space travelling steam engine to planet Earth and lands in Evie’s hometown of Adelaide where she has some serious explaining to do to her parents. Paulo Vistar, a Serothian, however, couldn’t be more excited. He wants to do some sightseeing on Earth while Evie works things out at home. When he and the Captain try to help with a recent catastrophe at the local zoo, they have no idea that another catastrophe is brewing down at a nearby school, and one teacher is certain that it’s not of this world.
Evie must finally confront her long-ignored demons while the Captain and Paulo attempt to uncover and destroy the evil in Adelaide before anything else happens. This is the first book in the series that returns to Earth.
Newton remarks, “It’s close to home. There are deep concepts in the books that will serve as good lessons and food for thought for young people, but it is also lighthearted and humorous because I believe a little bit of nonsense is absolutely essential to make any sense of the world.”
Readers should be on the lookout for the fifth volume in the Train Flight series, and Newton hopes readers will return for more. She explains, “The stories are an entertaining mix between the everyday, mundane ordinary things and people in life; and the extraordinary things and happenings that only exist in the imagination.
