Despite some forward movement with regards to women’s return to the workforce, there are still many women left behind in the wake of the pandemic. I’m hopeful that EllevateHER Forward will accelerate the post-pandemic recovery plan for women’s role in the workplace.
NEW YORK (PRWEB) February 22, 2022
Ellevate Network, the largest community of women+ at work, will be opening applications for fellows and accepting contributions for the third year of EllevateHER Forward, a fellowship granting fund, on March 1st, 2022.
EllevateHER Forward Fellows – which includes hundreds of women – will be granted a year-long Ellevate Pro Access membership, giving them a chance to build their own program filled with weekly Roundtables, two Squads, and networking events with local Chapters. They will also gain exclusive access to Skillsoft’s immersive learning platform, Percipio, which is designed to help sharpen existing and acquire new skills required for the jobs of today and tomorrow.
EllevateHER Forward is designed to support those who may be experiencing financial hardship or job loss, especially those who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and provide women with access to a network that will help them return to work.
“When we launched EllevateHER Forward in 2020, it was in response to women being disproportionately impacted by COVID-19. Despite some forward movement with regards to women’s return to the workforce, there are still many women left behind in the wake of the pandemic. I’m hopeful that EllevateHER Forward will accelerate the post-pandemic recovery plan for women’s role in the workplace, as well as amplify the need for participation from companies and communities in making forward progress,” says Kristy Wallace, CEO of Ellevate Network. “We are immensely grateful and acknowledge our privilege to be able to garner the generous contributions made by our community and partners such as Skillsoft to support our EllevateHER Forward Fellows.”
“Learning is essential in breaking down barriers for women re-entering the workforce and helping them regain their power, influence, and confidence,” said Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek, CMO, Skillsoft. “Having access to job-relevant education empowers women to learn new skills and expand upon existing ones needed to enter the most in-demand positions. We’re proud to build upon our partnership with Ellevate Network as we continue to make strides to improve gender balance and equality in the workplace, together.
EllevateHER Forward is accepting applications through April 10th from women who have been furloughed, unemployed, or financially impacted due to the crisis and need the resources to plan their return to work. Fellowships will commence mid-May, and last for a full year.
EllevateHER Forward is funded through the generous contributions of Ellevate Network members, supporters, and others committed to supporting women impacted by the pandemic. Similar to previous years, Ellevate Network will match contributions up to $250,000.
Those interested in making a contribution or applying to receive a fellowship can do so on at EllevateHerForward.com.
The program is also accepting sponsorships from organizations that are interested in sponsoring the return to work of groups of 25-100 women and those who are committed to diversity and inclusion. Those interested in sponsorship opportunities, can find more information here.
EllevateHER Forward is an iteration of EllevateHER, which has granted over 1,000 fellowships since 2017 to veterans, women in transition, non-profit professionals, recent graduates, and members of underrepresented groups in the workplace.
