Play.” The MarCom Awards are an international competition administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.
Following the launch of its new Elmer’s Glow in the Dark Glue, the company aimed to increase teacher and student awareness of the ways math, science, art and other disciplines come to life in the classroom. Elmer’s collaborated with MDR’s award-winning digital media brand, WeAreTeachers, to create fun and educational activities featuring Elmer’s glue and share them with teachers across the country through emails, classroom posters and social media. Elmer’s and MDR were recognized in the MarCom Awards for the impressive results of this campaign, which served nearly 2.5 million impressions with the Elmer’s brand to educators, including hundreds of thousands of visits to Elmer’s content on WeAreTeachers.com. Elmer’s now has content tied to educational standards, such as the “Geology Slime Challenge” and “Fractions With Slime,” for use across multiple digital platforms including 10 downloadable classroom activities, classroom posters, a Facebook Live event, Pinterest pins and a social video.
