"Prado Day Center has provided essential day-to-day services for homeless members of our community and we felt this was a perfect opportunity to help." - Kevin Phipps, General Manager.

Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo announced that they will support Prado Day Center every 3rd Wednesday of each month by providing a hot, Embassy Suites breakfast to the men, women, and children at the center.

“Our hotel has always been a big supporter of local organizations and decided on supporting the Prado Day Center because we understand the importance of providing meals to those in need, to help avoid hunger,” says General Manager, Kevin Phipps, "Prado Day Center has provided essential day-to-day services for homeless members of our community and we felt this was a perfect opportunity to help."

Under the direction of Executive Chef Kirk Sowell, the hotel has volunteers from their “Make a Difference Committee,” assisting in serving breakfast. The committee is part of the Hilton Hotels Corporation Brand Culture and involves all departments at the hotel. Part of their mission is to give back to the community and to create an awareness of local organizations that need help.

The Prado Day Center has helped the homeless since 1997 and provides essential day-to-day services for the 90 to 120 homeless members. In addition to meals, Prado Day Center also provides showers, laundry facilities and other vital services. The road of self-sufficiency is also aided with assistance for those seeking employment, housing referrals, social services, and enriching activities for the children.
