Seeking Global Brand Masters in Education – EMG Accepting Nominations for 2013 International Brand Master Award
Parker, Colorado (PRWEB) November 20, 2013 -- The competition is now open for the 2013 International Brand Master Award sponsored by Educational Marketing Group, Inc. (EMG) of Colorado. Nominations are accepted through Friday, December 13, 2013 on EMG's website.
In its fifth year, the International Brand Master Award is the most prestigious honor for educational communications professionals worldwide. It is awarded to a marketing and communications professional who has achieved exceptional success and has demonstrated outstanding skill and expertise in brand management during the past year.
"The International Brand Master must demonstrate exceptional skill and expertise in brand management and have a track record of outstanding success during the past year," said Bob Brock, president of EMG. "We encourage educational marketing professionals to nominate a deserving colleague, or themselves, for that matter. There's no better way to celebrate the success of an educational brand than by nominating an exceptional person who has helped lift it to the top."
Marketing practitioners from around the world compete for the honor. Nominations are scored by select panel of international judges, and professionals worldwide have an opportunity to vote for their candidate of choice from among the finalists. The judges’ scores and the public votes are combined to determine the 2013 International Brand Master.
Since the launch of the award in 2009, nominations have come in from across the U.S. and around the world, including submissions from Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Thailand. Last year, highly successful volunteer judges in the education marketing field hailed from the U.S., United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and Canada.
Past recipients of the International Brand Masters Award who have been recognized by their higher education peers are:
• 2012: Jason Cook, Vice President for Marketing & Communications at Texas A&M University
• 2011: Emma Leach, Director of Marketing and Communications at University of Nottingham
• 2010: John Lichtenberg, Chief Marketing & Enrollment Officer at Walsh College in Michigan

International Brand Master Award Background
The International Brand Master award was established in 2009 to bring recognition to the outstanding work of extraordinary educational brand marketing professionals from around the world. Since then, EMG received nominations from countries including Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, England, Canada, and the United States. Over the years, a blue-ribbon panel of volunteer international judges from the United States, England, Australia, Canada, and Ireland reviewed supporting materials provided by the nominees. Nominees were asked to provide responses to a number of questions related to their brand’s strategy, tactics, and provide results as well as provide several letters of support from colleagues. The judges narrowed the pool of fifteen nominees to three distinguished finalists. For 2012, two finalists came from the United States, Jason Cook from Texas A&M University, Justin Roy from William Peace University, and one from Belgium, Dr. David Willows from the International School of Brussels. The three finalists were then voted on by brand stakeholders and fellow branding professionals from around the world. Since 2009, over 6,000 votes from around the world were cast. The winner is chosen by a combination of stakeholder votes and the judges’ scores. For more information see: http://emgonline.com/ibm-award/.
