Engineer-Turned-Minister Combines Evidence and Facts with Bible Stories
MOBILE, Ala. (PRWEB) June 10, 2019 -- After working in the fields of science and engineering for two decades, Dr. Jeffrey Elliott felt called to use his scientific approach to work in ministry and provide proof to back up his faith.
In “Restoring Jesus: A Fresh Look at Ancient Prophecies, Divine Signs, and Eyewitness Testimonies,” Dr. Jeffrey Elliott examines the historical evidence of Luke, in the Bible, as well as non-biblical sources, as proof of the historical accuracy of the New Testament.
“With evidentiary support,” Dr. Elliott said, “readers can experience an elevated view of Jesus and how they can share their faith with others.”
Dr. Elliott received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Tennessee Technological University and worked in the field of engineering and computer science for almost 20 years. After feeling called into bi-vocational ministry, Elliott received his Masters of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has served in ministry for over 20 years now, and is an Executive Coach with the John Maxwell Team.
Dr. Elliott is skilled at blending science and faith to provide thorough findings, as in his previously published book, “Could It Be True: What if the First Eleven Chapters of Genesis Were True?”
“Christians can sometimes feel intimidated about believing in the supernatural,” Dr. Elliott said. “Or they’ve rejected Christianity because they believe science and archeology have disproved the Bible. However, scientific evidence provides that Jesus was more than just a man. Science and the supernatural aren’t mutually exclusive.”
