A scorecard template for employee accountability was recently released by EOS Worldwide, the creator of the acclaimed Entrepreneurial Operating System® (EOS®). The scorecard, which measures employee performance over time, was previously a proprietary tool taught by EOS implementers and is now available for public use and download via their blog.

Unlike other organizational metric systems, which retroactively measure statistics that are in the past and unactionable, the EOS Worldwide scorecard is forward-looking, and focused on real activity, short-term goals, and desired outcomes. It allows for more clarity regarding points of improvement and bottlenecks in a process, and simplifies communications from management about expectations. As a result, issues can be fixed mid-quarter, not after a quarter ends and opportunities are missed.

Gino Wickman, creator of EOS, had this to say about the scorecard: “The scorecard, along with other tools like the V/TO, are the actual tools that implementers teach our client companies to get a handle on their duties and individuals within the organization. It has been proven to make individuals more accountable, and helps companies make substantive progress in running their organization in both the short term and long-term.”

The scorecard and other EOS tools are created for entrepreneurs to make them stronger leaders, setting themselves up for long-term success.
