Saint Thomas' Episcopal School to Host Open House
Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 15, 2014 -- Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School announces it will host an open house to prospective students and parents at 1 p.m Monday, Jan. 20. It is scheduled to last less than two hours.
STE Headmaster Michael Cusack and Admission Director Jennifer Crosthwait welcome all potential students and their parents to meet with school faculty and tour its campus. The school will be in session on that day, so interested parties can gain a full experience of what a typical day is like at STE. Heads of the lower, middle and upper schools will explain the school's time-proven college preparatory curriculum. Student ambassadors will also be present to give tours and interact with would-be students and parents.
Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School is located at 4900 Jackwood St. at Endicott behind Meyerland Shopping Center in Houston. The school has a 100 percent college acceptance rate, and the average score on the 2013 SAT for their students was 1210, and the average 2013 ACT score 26.3. There are approximately 115 computers with filtered access to the Internet available for student use, and numerous laptops are available for students in the middle or upper schools. There are also SmartBoards in virtually every upper and middle school classroom to allow lessons to be more interactive and teachers to save notes and post them on their class homepage. STE is a member of the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, Houston Area Independent Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools and the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
