In 2013 Kevin Elson and Cathy Epps, along with RE/MAX Ability Plus, moved their real estate venture to a new location in Carmel, the Indiana Design Center located in the Carmel Arts & Design District.

The Epps Elson Real Estate Team believes that being part of the Design Center is another level of service that separates them from other real estate agents. That higher bar has allowed them to provide a complete realty experience for their clients, including the resources to decorate the interior of a new or existing home, with the latest trends.

The Indiana Design Center offers new opportunities for The Epps Elson Real Estate Team’s clients. Clients now have direct access to the center’s showroom featuring home decor, floor designs, art, kitchen and lighting layouts, furniture and more. Epps also has the latest intel on the design center’s monthly workshops where they will learn about new trends or tips on how to maximize their existing furnishings.

Their clients can even become members of The Affiliates’ Circle, which allows them premium offers and services provided by the design professionals of the Indiana Design Center. Some of the retail showrooms located at the Design Center include Reese Kitchen, Bath & Lighting Gallery, Jack Laurie Home Floor Designs, Drapery Street and more.

Andrea Kleymeyer, who has become a liaison between the team and the center is grateful for what the Epps Elson Team brings to the center. She said, “Their presence brings a strong sense of synergy to the Design Center. It also allows them to grow and build relationships with people.”

According to Kevin Elson, now is the time to buy or sell. July saw a increase of 31 percent of houses sold compared to last year, which is especially high for a summer month. The average sale price increased by 7 percent and the number of days on the market decreased by 7 percent, all great news for sellers.

“The market is not only good locally, but it is very good nationally as well,” said Elson. “It’s a balanced market between buyers and sellers, so if you’re looking to sell, now is the time to do it.”

While the market has been doing well, the team has also been celebrating their continued success, with over 1000 homes sold. One of the services they provide that helps them stand out is the Guaranteed Sale Program. This program is ideal for those who need to sell before starting to build a new home. Through this program they offer a seller 90-95 percent of market value if the existing home does not sell before the new home is complete.

“If you have time restrictions like getting into the new home before the new school year starts or the baby is due, this program could be for you,” said Cathy Epps. “You will be able to lock in your interest rate earlier, select the lot that is perfect and take advantage of the builder’s promotions and pricing, instead of waiting to see what is offered when your home finally sells.”
