Claudette Anderson and the eRealty & Associates Team recently participated in the Spring Gala, featuring Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison, to benefit SAFEchild, whose mission is to eliminate child abuse in Wake County by helping adults and children create nurturing environments free from abuse and neglect. “We believe that every child has a right to grow up in a safe environment. It is our responsibility to help, because children cannot help themselves,” said Anderson, broker/owner of eRealty and Associates, Inc., a corporate sponsor of SAFEchild. “We love the proactive approach that this organization takes to do this. Let’s start at the root of the problem and solve it from there.”

SAFEchild annually serves about 900 families through parenting programs and the SAFEchild Advocacy Center. Its goals are to prevent child abuse from ever occurring, empower parents and caregivers to move toward healthy family relationships by breaking negative parenting patterns and educate and raise awareness about the issue of child abuse in Wake County.

In addition to SAFEchild, eRealty and Associates has been a longtime sponsor of Shop with a Cop, which allows children who may not otherwise have an opportunity to celebrate Christmas the chance to share the holiday with a partner from local law enforcement. This program reinforces the positive relationships law enforcement agencies share with their communities. “We sponsor kids every year to be picked up by a cop and taken to Walmart to get needed items and toys,” added Anderson.

eRealty and Associates also supports Saving Grace Dog Rescue, which is dedicated to helping homeless animals in the community find permanent, loving homes; Carolina Tiger Rescue, whose mission is to save and protect wild cats in captivity and in the wild; Anthony Robbins The Basket Brigade, which provides baskets of food and household items for an estimated two million people annually in countries all over the world; and Operation Underground Railroad Rescue from Sex Trafficking.

“Nothing angers me more than children that are helpless in situations where they are starving or being abused. I have no tolerance for that,” concluded Anderson. “I want every child to reach their full potential and overcome their limitations. When we have the opportunity to help, we do everything in our power to make a positive impact.”
