All Massachusetts Counties Now E-recording with Simplifile

With Bristol South now offering electronic recording (e-recording) with Simplifile, Massachusetts has become the sixth state to offer e-recording in all of its counties statewide.

All 21 Massachusetts counties are now enabled for e-recording with Simplifile

It’s exciting to see another state offer e-recording in 100 percent of its counties, and we are honored to be that provider for all of our customers both locally and nationally who submit documents for recording in Massachusetts.

Electronic recording (e-recording) of documents in Bristol South is now available through Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording service, making Massachusetts the sixth state to implement e-recording in all counties statewide.

Through Simplifile’s secure, web-based recording service, customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers and other document submitters have the ability to record documents such as land records with the county online in minutes, saving time and money.

Massachusetts joins Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, and Delaware in offering e-recording statewide with Simplifile. Nationwide, more than 1,190 recording jurisdictions across 44 states e-record with Simplifile.

Fewer payment errors, reduced mailing expenses, and increased document security are some of the benefits of e-recording with Simplifile.

Recording fees and payments can also be processed electronically through Simplifile using Automated Clearing House, eliminating check-writing expenses.

High-speed Internet access, a PC, and a scanner are the minimum requirements for customers to begin e-recording with Simplifile.

Middlesex North was the first Massachusetts county to implement e-recording with Simplifile in August of 2007, followed by Plymouth County in December 2007. With the addition of Bristol South, all 21 Massachusetts counties have made e-recording available.
